Gretheline, as she is known to everyone, has been a recipient of numerous awards, among them, Service Excellence Award for five years from St. John of God Hospital in 1994; Service Excellence Award, 10 years from Girl Scouts USA in 1997; 1998 Employee of the Month, a recognition that was given for the first time to a department head by SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation for Milford; Member of the Year, Philippine Nurses Association of New England, 2001 and Outstanding Service from the National Federation of Filipino American Associations First Biennial Eastern Region Conference.
But the crowning glory of her achievements
must have come from the Nursing Spectrum where
she A graduate of the University of Santo Tomas College of Nursing in 1987, Gretheline came to Boston in March 1989 to work at St. John of God Hospital, where she stayed till 1994. She was accepted at SunBridge Care and Rehabilitation for Milford in 1994, where she has continued working as Nursing Supervisor, Director of Quality Improvement, Nurse Manager and Charge Nurse. In April 2005 Gretheline accepted a position at the Massachusetts Bay Community College as Clinical Instructor. Being active in community organizations, Gretheline took Creative Journalism at Harvard University in 2001. It was knowledge she was able to put to good use as she started to write press releases for community-based organizations. She is also a columnist for New York-based publication, Planet Philippines. Gretheline is married to Joseph Bolandrina, with whom she had four children: Jessica Dawn, Gino Ray, Lilly Amber and Max Joseph.
